In total, 13 prizes were awarded to companies and students, complemented by two honorary distinctions: one was presented to the pool technology and equipment company Hayward on its 100th anniversary, and another was awarded posthumously to Joan Planes, founder of the Spanish company Fluidra, for his contribution to the development of the industry and the fair.

In the category Piscina Barcelona Awards – Public Pools, the award went to Camping Sangulí in Salou, Spain. The pool facilities there designed by Piscinas Condal convinced the jury with their strong integration into the natural surroundings and a diverse range of water attractions for different user groups.

The Innovative Product Awards, which are exclusively presented to exhibitors, went to Aiper for the “EcoSurfer Senti” solar skimmer as well as to Oxidine Water Technology SL for the ultrafiltration system “Keramikos Grey 2 Green”, which is said to recover up to 99.9 percent of the water used.

The first prize went to “Bio-immersive viewpoint 72” by Max Hildebrand, a student at the Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona, who proposed a water center integrated into the park and conceived as a place for health and social interaction. The second prize went to “Horizonte Trencadís” by Lara Jiménez González, a student at the Technical School of Architecture of Vallès, who designed a sustainable water sports center that combines architecture, biodiversity and modernist tradition. The third prize was awarded to “Aquora” by Borja Gosálbez Mulet, a student in the master’s program in Landscape and Urban Planning at the Universitat Politècnica de València, who proposed a tranquil bathing space inspired by Gaudí’s organic forms. ■
