Italy: Gardaland Offers New “Easy Rider” Service to Guests with Disabilities

In cooperation with the social organization ProgettoYeah!, Italy’s Gardaland has launched a new accompanying service for visitors with disabilities in order to offer all park guests an exciting stay with special experiences. The new “Easy Rider” service is a personalized, tailor-made service: Assigned staff accompanies groups from four up to twelve persons during their stay and leads them to the most suitable attractions. The guides inform the park guests about any special characteristics of the rides and explain how to get on board and how to exit. In addition, they organize breaks for the group and make reservations at the park restaurants.

“Barrier-free access is a complex theme that presents new aspects and challenges every day, generated by a simple and justified request by our guests to enjoy a great day and our desire to make our fantastic experience world accessible for everybody,” said Danilo Santi, General Manager Theme Parks Gardaland.

This year, the “Easy Rider” service is available from April until July and during the month of September. (eap)
