Italy: Gardaland Presents “San Andreas – 4D Experience” at Its Time Voyagers Cinema

With “San Andreas – 4D Experience”, Italy’s Gardaland presents another novelty for the upcoming season: The new 4D short film production, which is based on the “San Andreas” disaster movie from film director Brad Peyton premiered in the US in 2015, will be the latest offer at the park’s “Time Voyagers” 4D cinema.

Its storyline features a pilot as protagonist, who after a devastating earth quake in California takes a helicopter to search for his lost daughter. Thanks to the cinema’s 4D motion seats, a new projection system comprised of only one projector (supplied by Cinemeccanica) and a number of effects (including audio, wind, water, scent etc.), guests who put on their 3D glasses will be able to enjoy an immersive flight experience alongside the helicopter pilot. The “San Andreas” 4D short movie version was produced by SimEx-Iwerks in cooperation with Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

In our park report in EAP issue 2/18 you can read which novelties Gardaland and other European amusement parks will present this year. (eap)
