(eap) As announced today by the Spanish operator group, Mark Reeves (photo) has been appointed Group Director of Entertainment at Parques Reunidos. In the newly created position, Reeves will report to Diego Gracia, Group Director of Business Development.

In his new role, Reeves will develop the Group’s entertainment strategy while working closely with the teams. The focus will be on live entertainment, immersive experiences and innovative programming formats. These are intended to increase guest satisfaction, encourage repeat visits and strengthen the individual identity of each park. At the same time, Reeves is expected to play a central role in the further development of leisure park destinations such as Parque Warner Madrid and Parque de Atracciones de Madrid, and to drive the development of the Group’s European park and attractions portfolio.

Reeves has more than 20 years of international experience in the leisure, entertainment and events industry, where he has developed and implemented concepts for large-scale entertainment programmes, live productions, seasonal events and measures to improve the guest experience. Most recently, Reeves held senior positions at Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia in Saudi Arabia. There, he was responsible for the entertainment and events strategy for the two new parks.

“Entertainment plays a critical role in how guests experience our parks and in how destinations differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive leisure market,” said Diego Gracia. “Mark brings an exceptional combination of creativity, strategic vision, and international expertise. His leadership will help us continue evolving our entertainment offering, creating memorable experiences for guests and supporting the long-term attractiveness and growth of our iconic destinations.”

Commenting on his appointment, Mark Reeves said: “Parques Reunidos has an exceptional portfolio of parks, a strong culture of innovation, and a long-standing tradition of creating experiences that bring people together. I am excited to join the team […].” ■
