Movie Park Germany Reveals Plans for Construction of New Rollercoaster

In mid-2011, Movie Park Germany in Bottrop-Kirchhellen celebrated the opening of its newest indoor rollercoaster “Van Helsing’s Factory” (we reported in EAP 4/2011). Now the park revealed plans for the construction of another rollercoaster. The new, about 45 meter high attraction will be built near the entrance area of the park on an unused area of 100 x 75 meters and is scheduled to open in 2014. No decision has yet been taken about which kind of coaster and which manufacturer will be chosen for the new ride as Wouter Dekkers, CEO Movie Park Germany, explains. A survey among the park’s guests with 1,400 participants showed that most of the visitors wish for a new thrill attraction. (eap)
