(eap) At this year’s FKF Convention at Europa-Park Resort in Rust on Sunday, March 3, 2024, the members of the Freundeskreis Kirmes und Freizeitparks e.V. (FKF e.V.) once again voted for the best European attraction novelties that opened in 2023. The award, which has been presented since 2003, is given in the categories of “Rollercoaster novelty”, “Park novelty” and “Funfair novelty”. The attractions put forward for voting are nominated by the over 1,700 members of the association themselves.

Together with the newly created “Festival Toutatis” area, France’s tallest and fastest roller coaster from manufacturer Intamin impressed the members of the association. The FKF Award in the Park Novelty category went to Movie Park Germany for “Movie Park’s Hollywood Christmas”. In its first winter season, the park impressed its visitors with an American Christmas event series (see our news from 06.09.2023).

Showman Harry P.E. Bruch was delighted to receive the award in the “Fair novelty” category with his “Excalibur” ride. Since 2023, the showman has been traveling to funfairs with its giant XXL swing from Dutch manufacturer KMG. Up to 20 persons can fly through the air on the attraction at up to 47 meters.

Congratulations to all the winners! ■
