Wolfgang Kiessling Plans to Build Waterpark in Grand Canary

According to media reports, the German entrepreneur Wolfgang Kiessling, founder and owner of Loro Parque and Siam Park in Tenerife, plans to build a second waterpark – this time in Grand Canary. Siam Park was opened in the south of Tenerife in 2008 and is one of the biggest themed waterparks throughout Europe. Loro Parque, also an important tourist destination of the island, will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year. Kiessling is said to be looking for a suitable site on Grand Canary to build a themed waterpark similar to the one in operation in Tenerife. According to the media, the planned investment for the park amounts to a sum of 30 to 50 million euros. (eap)
