Netherlands: Aqua Drolics Takes Over 3D Object Manufacturer BlowUps

Aqua Drolics, which specializes in the design and production of water play products for children’s pools and is based near Eindhoven (Netherlands), is expanding its portfolio by taking over BlowUps, a company based in Heijen (Netherlands) in North Limburg, as of 1st July 2022.

BlowUps was founded in 1990 and, with modern machinery – including a KUKA milling robot and various CNC machines – and a team of around 16 employees, realizes customized 3D products such as displays, advertising figures, artworks, playground equipment, furnishings, industrial polyester products etc. With the acquisition, both companies intend to combine their strengths and further expand their respective positions in the industry.

Aqua Drolics Managing Director Eric de Graauw on the expansion step: “The synergies will allow both companies to develop further. This will allow us to serve the customers of both companies even better. Recent projects Aqua Drolics has worked on include a Western-themed spray park for Glampingresort Hoge Kempen (near Hasselt, Belgium) as well as a children’s pool with a water play structure in jungle style for Holiday Park Beekse Bergen (near Tilburg, Netherlands). The new attractions are expected to delight guests at the two holiday destinations starting this summer. (eap)
