New VR Attraction “Truth Traveler” Invites Visitors on a Biblical Journey

(eap) Truth Traveler, a new, elaborately themed VR attraction, recently opened in Pigeon Forge (Tennessee), USA. The attraction takes visitors on a virtual biblical journey back in time, combining 4DVR technology from British manufacturer Simworx with specially produced content and immersive special effects.

Equipped with motion-controlled 3DOF motion benches, guests experience a virtual reality journey through historical events in the so-called VR pods, accompanied by wind and environmental effects that are designed to simulate the feeling of grass or sea air, among other things. Each of the movement units is equipped with synchronized effects to intensify the immersion in the virtual world.

The attraction starts with a detailed pre-show room, followed by an “elevator” simulation that takes guests to the main platform. The elaborately staged scenery was realized by Kingdom Productions, while the film experience itself was created by The Mill studio.

According to the operator, the attraction has enjoyed great popularity in Pigeon Forge since its opening, which may be due in no small part to its location directly on the Parkway in the immediate vicinity of various other attractions and Dollywood. A second location is already being planned for Branson (Missouri) and is also due to open this year.
